Meet Anna.

Anna is a Stockholm-based artist who begins each day with a single page — pen, paper, morning quiet. It's how she clears her mind before the work begins.

She's drawn to Georgia O'Keeffe's dreamlike rendering of nature and Rothko's ability to move you through colour alone. Her own creative flow follows a similar instinct — gut first, no overthinking.

Daily Ritual.

My daily rituals is to write one page every morning, classic morning pages style. For me it works to kind of cleans my mind and to start with a fresh page. There is something to slowing your brain down for a second writing with pen and paper that I really like. If I have not done it I also always start by cleaning the studion, washing pencils. I need it to feel tidy to get space to feel creative.

Flow.

When I can go 100% on my gut feeling and don’t overthink.

Female Inspiration.

I find Georgia O’Keeffe inspiring for the way she paints nature in such a dreamlike, almost surreal way, and I really admire Rothko’s ability to create emotion through his use of color and subtle combinations.
