Meet Zeynep.

Based in Munich, Zeynep is an artist working at the intersection of contemporary abstraction and material-driven practice. Her sculptural language moves between abstraction and figuration, exploring movement, balance and belonging through the relationship between mass and void, body and support.

Working primarily with traditional hand-building techniques and stoneware clay, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces in which form emerges intuitively through direct, sustained engagement with the material.

Daily Ritual.

Walking is a key ritual for me. It clears my head and helps me notice small things, making me more attentive to what is around me. It’s a simple, always-available way to reset, and I always feel more grounded and present after a good walk.

Flow.

The atmosphere of my studio and home deeply supports how I think, feel, and create. I feel most balanced when my surroundings are calm, not demanding my attention, and I can move through space with ease.

Female Inspiration.

Elsa Peretti. I have been collecting her pieces for some time, and I love how effortlessly beautiful and sculptural her objects are. They occupy a space between jewellery, design, and sculpture with remarkable clarity and sensitivity.
